-especially from the experience of being ‘unhealthy’: we all get sick, infected, diseased, have accidents, suffer unjustly, and eventually die. What is the role of God when these things are happening to us or others? Through poetry and story, biblical and other, we will explore these experiences. We can reflect on the words we and others generally use in popular culture as answers/coping mechanisms. What really helps and what doesn’t? Church experience and scholarship, in tandem with that of fellow human beings, will be used as resources as we gather. Expect an Ignatian bias from the presenter!
